Elevate Your Performance and Training Capabilities with the LAB
This immersive, engaging and highly emotive workshop is for those who want to learn and grow, both as professionals (leaders, senior managers & executives) and trainers/facilitators who want to bring something new and powerful to their organisation or consultancy.
This one-day programme will be delivered by Gareth Lock, who is recognised by many as a leader in the field of human factors and system safety. The programme is applicable to anyone in a team environment, from high-risk industries looking to improve safety to start-ups who want and need an effective team to achieve their goals. People are people. In general, their behaviours are the same... it's just the stories that change.
Experience firsthand the power of the Interpersonal Skills LAB, a cutting-edge training tool designed to enhance interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, and team performance in high-pressure environments.
Four missions. Theory development. Competitive environment. Great fun.

“This course is very introspective; be prepared to be totally unravelled but absolutely supported in the process.”
Media Executive, UK.
“The exercise was very immersive. I can see the value in identifying how more/better information makes a task less stressful and easier to accomplish.”
Railway Control Centre Manager, UK.
“Previously, it took three days of training at the fireground to assess the team’s performance and areas for improvement. We did that in one day using the Interpersonal Skills LAB.”
Wildland Firefighting Incident Commander, United States.
Why Choose Interpersonal Skills LAB?

Real-World
Simulation
Interpersonal Skills LAB utilises real-time computer simulations to create realistic, challenging scenarios that mirror the complexities of actual operations.
Participants will face time pressures, distributed knowledge issues, and immersive activities that will require them to communicate effectively, coordinate actions, and make critical decisions under stress and uncertainty. Experience has shown that 85-100% of real-world teamwork and collaboration challenges identified by participants are experienced in the LAB.

Focus on Individual and Team Behaviours
By immersing participants in a fictional setting, the LAB shifts the focus away from technical expertise and exclusively onto behaviours. This allows for a deeper understanding of individual and team dynamics, highlighting the impact of communication, leadership, and decision-making on overall performance.
A massive benefit of the LAB is that no one can bring prior knowledge to the simulator, so the likelihood of professional jeopardy is low. Because everyone starts as 'incompetent', this creates a powerful learning environment.

Personal insights
Critical feedback
Through measurement and analysis, the LAB provides valuable feedback from three sources: the trainer, fellow participants, and the computer system which provides 'black box' data showing what happened and when, allowing critical debriefs to take place.
This multi-faceted approach allows participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and typical patterns of behaviour when under pressure.

Actionable learnings for all domains
The Interpersonal Skills LAB goes beyond theory by providing participants with field-tested plans of action that can be implemented immediately.
"It makes such a difference to 'do' rather than talk about it."
Participants will leave the session equipped with practical strategies to enhance their communication, leadership, and teamwork skills in real-world situations
Deliver the learning with you
